The Mayor...

Yep, that's Mayor McCheese.  I'm painting Mayor McCheese.  This is yet another preliminary color/sketch test while I wait for my 18 x 24 inch Arches Watercolor Blocks to arrive from Dick Blick's.  (They have great prices on art supplies by the way).  

The Mayor and other beloved McDonald's characters kinda have a shady past.  You can read the story here.

Winsor & Newton Ink, watercolor, and gouache, 14 x 17"

I've been sketching with watercolor and ink whenever I get the chance.  I've now added gouache to the mix.  It's been fun playing with various opacities of paint.
