In honor of my son getting his first fish tank, we spent a nice Sunday afternoon at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, Calif. The jellies were the favorite. The lorikeets were playful. And even when converted to a fruit smoothie-stand sign, a great white shark can still catch a pigeon (see above). Not a bad day.
I also saw my buddy Dave Derrick's beautiful children's book, Sid the Squid in the gift shop!

Cool pix; I didn't know there's an aquarium there.
I do know we have our first infestation of lion fish here in the Keys. They eat anything! So, there's a big sign in the marina: "EAT LIONFISH!"
